Electronic Signature & Records Consent
Last updated: July 10, 2026
When you sign a proposal or change order sent through PoolCodex, you are agreeing to do business electronically. This disclosure explains what that means and your rights.
1. Consent to electronic records & signatures
By clicking to sign, typing your name, or drawing your signature, you consent to use electronic records and electronic signatures for the document you are signing, and you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature and is binding.
2. The document you are signing
The party who sent the document (the contractor or business using PoolCodex) is responsible for its contents. PoolCodex provides the technology to present the document and capture your signature; it is not a party to the agreement between you and that business.
3. Getting paper copies
After signing, you will be able to view or download a copy of the signed document. You may request a paper copy from the business that sent it to you; they may charge a reasonable fee for it.
4. Withdrawing consent
You may decline to sign electronically. If you do not wish to use electronic signatures, contact the business that sent you the document to arrange another method. Withdrawing consent applies going forward and does not affect the validity of documents already signed.
5. System requirements
To sign and retain electronic records, you need a device with a current web browser, internet access, an email account, and the ability to view and save PDF files.
6. Questions
For questions about a specific document, contact the business that sent it. For questions about the signing technology, contact [email protected].
